Hello world!

First blog post - argh! I'm feeling pressure to say something "cool" or intelligent, but I think I'll just settle for a basic intro post...

I love baking: sweet, savoury, traybakes, cupcakes, bread.... you name it and I'll try it. My passion is mainly driven by greed and an overactive sweet tooth, but I also get a genuine kick out of seeing others enjoying my food. For the past few months I've been following lots of foodie blogs (and drooling over the posts), and so I've been inspired to start my own as a way to document my baking adventures.

A bit about me: I'm Laura, I'm 25 and I live and work in Birmingham. Other things you may find of interest... I have a cat, I'm quite short (5'1") and my fave chocolate is Cadbury's Fruit and Nut.
